HORSE Project General Assembly in Villanova I la Geltrú, Spain

On June 15th and 16th 2023, HORSE consortium met face-to-face for their first General Assembly after the kickoff meeting in January 2023.

The General Assembly was hosted by HORSE’s research and academic partner, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) at their premises in Villanova I la Geltrú, in the outskirts of Barcelona.

During the 2 days, the consortium held extensive discussions on the pilots, their requirements and the overall architecture and the features of the HORSE platform.

After the pilot presentations, there were in-depth discussions on the HORSE platform and to check the progress of the work packages and if the tools that they propose, fit to the overall platform.

The second day continued with the ongoing discussion on the status and progress of the work packages, risks that are foreseen and the mitigation measures. The flow of the General assembly was very smooth with intense and extensive technical discussions in between. The most important issue was to agree on the architecture and the features.

There were also discussions on contributions made towards Standards Developing Organisations (SDOs) and each partner spoke about their engagement in different SDOs and how that can help in achieving HORSE’s goals towards standards and opensource contributions.

The next face-to-face meeting has been planned to take place in November 2023 and University of Athens has offered to host it. This checkpoint was decided in order to have crucial discussions prior to a major milestone of the project in terms of having the HORSE architecture ready for development.
